MSU Football Magic

To start 2012 off right, not only did the MSU men's basketball team (under head coach Tom Izzo) come out with a win, continuing their streak, but the football team came away with its first bowl win under coach Mark Dantonio yesterday — and what a win it was! Because I only just graduated from the university and absolutely love my Spartans (and also because this senior class is the winningest in our school's history AND I just love them) I wanted to share why this team has become so special by counting down the top three plays from MSU football in the past three years:

3. Blocked Field Goal to win Outback Bowl (2012)

2. "Little Giants" to beat Notre Dame (2010)

1. "Hail Mary" to beat Wisconsin (2011)

Hail Mary!

By now you all know that I absolutely love my alma matter, Michigan State University. This weekend's amazing football game against the previously undefeated Badgers (UW-Madison) is just one of the fabulous contributing factors toward that love.

Check out one of the greatest moments in college football below.

It's Michigan Week!

This week is Michigan Week at MSU (one of my favorite weeks every other year!). To celebrate, check out this vintage Spartan poster:

Poll: If you're cheering on one of the teams this weekend, who are you rooting for?

Obsession: Green Bay Packers

I have neglected to share an insight into the world of me with all of you for quite some time and have now chosen to break that silence: I am a huge Packer fan. I'm a cheesehead. I still love Brett Favre (because of what he did as a Packer), yet I think Aaron Rodgers is the man. Clay Matthews holds a dear place in my heart. Lambeau Field is basically my favorite place on earth. And so on and so forth . . .

Phew, that felt good.
