REALLY Bad a.k.a. Module 3

I'm just about done with my Mod3 awful website it has background music and pointless links galore!! :)

Anyway, I'm going to take this time to share the LINK with you, as well as start to answer some of the questions for the final segment of this module..

The intended purpose of my really bad website is to inform people of why they should travel to Greece and to help them in doing so. That being said the main audience for my site is anyone who is interested in destination vacations/traveling.

For bad design I chose to use...
Links that lead to related, but totally off, other sites
Repeating image backgrounds (one watermarked, the other neon and ridiculous)
Embedded YouTube videos
Moving GIFs
Bad coloring for text
Background music that the user is unable to turn off
Random, scattered pictures

My choice of awful design elements will distract my reader from the purpose of the site. It will also frustrate my reader beyond belief. It may cause problems for disabled readers, both due to the fact that I used moving, obnoxious images and paid absolutely no attention to accessibility options. Lastly, the fact that my site looks completely unprofessional and people will not take it seriously.

More to come later.

  1. Don't forget to back direct ties to some of our course readings about how you failed to meet user needs and the purpose of the site. Excellent job getting music to work and the rotating images of distraction!
