Word of the Month: Resistentialism

Resistentialism (n.): The theory that inanimate objects demonstrate hostile behavior toward us.

Resistentialism is a play off of the term "existentialism" and is meant to describe the idea that objects occasionally express spiteful behavior toward members of the human race. The slogan used by its believers? "Things are against us."

Ridiculous. Yet I invite you to attempt to use it in a sentence (and not think of it the next time your printer breaks down).
